The new year brings new faces to FORM. Today, we’re introducing you to our new editor-in-chief, Alexi Drosu, and our new online content editor, Lisa Bingham.
Editor-in-Chief Alexandra Drosu knows that the key to a compelling story is capturing the voice of an individual, whether it be a celebrity profile, an architectural study or a human interest story. With more than 15 years experience writing for consumer publications, including the Los Angeles Times, Robb Report and In Style magazine, she has interviewed hundreds of experts and individuals for her portfolio of articles. Her work has provided opportunities to interview celebrities such as actor Geoffrey Rush and singer Mary J. Blige, top experts including architect Ed Niles and CEO Tim Koogle, and regular people sharing extraordinary journeys, like quadriplegic Francesco Clark who is crusading for a cure to spinal column injuries. Today, Alexandra seeks to discover up-and-coming designers, innovative technologies and compelling narratives for the pages of FORM magazine.
Lisa Bingham brings over 15 years of experience in the design and publishing worlds (both print and digital) to the position of online content manager. After receiving a master’s degree in decorative arts, design and culture from the Bard Graduate Center, Lisa spent several years in the curatorial departments at the J. Paul Getty Museum and the Huntington, working primarily with the museums’ 18th-century French design collections. An eight-year stint at Architectural Digest followed, where her design expertise was put use—writing features and serving as the publication’s market editor. In 2010, Lisa became a founding editor of Entra, an early online design and architecture magazine, handling issue planning, writing and editing. Although her early training focused on 18th-century design and architecture, Lisa’s design and architecture interests are broad and she looks forward to sharing them with an online audience.
