Events: What’s Happening with our Industry Partner AIA|LA in April

The month of April has some fantastic programming coming at you from AIA|LA. From lectures and seminars to tours, there’s plenty to get you thinking about your business and to get you inspired.

Readers of this site will know we’ve been exploring ownership transitions, and, as part of the ProDev Series, you can attend a seminar on April 11 on Planning an Effective Internal Ownership Transition. On the same day, there’s another ProDev seminar on China Business and Tax Issues for Foreign Architecture Players

If you’re interested in tours, April sees the beginning of a fascinating new series that explores “How Architects Live.” The first tour, on the 27th, will feature a visit to the house of Sarah Graham, of agps architecture, which was featured in the 1994 Architectural Review and notable for its location on an “unbuildable” site below the Hollywood sign.

The following month, be sure to mark your calendars for another great tour new tour series. This time around, it’s Breakfast with the Architect. First up is a visit with Dean Larkin, AIA, to a Hollywood Hills house (originally designed by Harry Gesner) he recently renovated.
