If you happen to have 22 artisans—craftsmen, welders, painters—at your disposable, what do you do? If you’re Source Outdoor, you maximize their talents. Last year, the company introduced a new line of umbrellas, awnings and cabanas to great acclaim, and, says Gerald Shvartsman, Source Outdoor‘s CEO, “We started thinking about things we could do to work inside our spectrum, using the equipment we already had, to meet the needs of the design community.” The elegant solution turned out to be Source Railings, a new line of railings, fences and gates.
The railing collection is entirely custom and allows clients to choose from aluminum, iron, steel, glass, vinyl, copper or brass depending on their needs. Given the company’s long and successful history with aluminum, though, Shvartsman believes that the material will be the one their clients will choose.
With the new line, Source Outdoor is further positioning itself as “a one-stop shop for designers’ outdoor needs,” notes Shvartsman, with its burgeoning collections spanning everything from the new railing collection to its now-beloved lines of aluminum outdoor furnishings.
