The latest (and stunning) addition from Galassia Italy is the Ergo collection, redefining rustic in an elegant and refined way. The collection is designed by Siena-based architect and industrial designer Antonio Pascale, and links a modern aesthetic to nature.
The sculpted base ($2,880) of the washbasin is made of solid Iroko (also known as African teak). On top sits the pure white Ergo 7102 ($650) a rimless ceramic top with integrated sink—crafted using traditional techniques in the Etruria and Falisca zones, the birthplace of ceramic production.
The collection features solid, uninterrupted lines, round shapes and corners, that evoke a kind of magical harmony, where the formal purity of the ceramic white is brightened by the warm tones of wood. The full line features sinks, toilets, furniture, mirrors and coordinating accessories.
