USGBC's Emerging Professionals has partnered with the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency to host the 5th annual Emerging Talent Design Competition. The competition requires participating teams to use shipping containers as building material and inspiration, in order to create sustainable and beautiful designs for a new multipurpose structure in Long Beach.

Teams will include students and young professionals that share a common interest in green building. The winning design will be chosen by the City of Long Beach, to be considered for a site on Long Beach Boulevard. Winners will also be featured on the USGBC website and at the 8th Annual AltBuild Expo in Santa Monica.
