The program provides design enthusiasts and the general public with an inside look into the world of distinctive residences in Sonoma county. Tour participants have the opportunity to see some of the area's latest residential projects from the inside out, meet design teams, explore housing trends, and discover design solutions that inspire unique Sonoma living.


Design for Social Impact
May 25–August 3, 2014
Based on the idea that design is a way of looking at the world with an eye for changing it, the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) presents Design for Social Impact, an original exhibition offering a look at how designers, engineers, students, professors, architects and social entrepreneurs use design to solve the problems of the 21st century.

Bring Your Appetite for Creativity: 'Food as Impetus for Craft' Exhibition Opens November 17

The Craft in America Study Center in Los Angeles will launch a three-part series of exhibitions exploring the intersection of contemporary craft and food, “Good Enough to Eat: the Fusion of Food and Craft,” on November 17, 2012 and running through January 19, 2013. According to the Craft in America Study Center website, the first event, “Food as Impetus for Craft,” will “feature functional, exceptional objects designed for the multi-sensory enhancement of food preparation or presentation.” More specifically, the event will feature conceptual glassware by Katherine Gray, sculptural silver by Chunghi Choo, ceramics by Julia Galloway, and pottery by Mark Hewitt. Later events, “Food as Subject for Craft” and “Food as Medium for Craft” will open on February 2, 2013, and April 20, 2013, respectively.
