Showroom: LED Goes Mod

New from Nora Lighting, the Tysen pendant offers a globe-shaped LED pendant fixture with a mod feel. Image courtesy Nora Lighting.

With the explosion in LED fixture options, there’s suddenly something for eveyrone and every need. Have a project that calls for an edgy, contemporary look? You can find tons to fit the bill. Need something more traditional? You’re now covered on that front too. Want something with some midcentury modern flair? Now you've got a choice for that. With Nora Lighting’s new Tysen Globe pendant, 50s style comes to the LED world.

“Tysen is one of our liveliest fixtures with its midcentury Modern balloon design and speckled glass effect,” says EJ Phillips, national sales manager, showroom division, at Nora Lighting. “Inspired by globe-shaped hanging lamps from the ‘50s,Tysen is an upbeat complement to contemporary interiors, especially those with a retro influence.”

The blown-glass globe is pierced all around, creating a chic effect, with mini-points of white light. It’s available in white, taupe, amber or a high-gloss red. Use just one or combine a few of different colors for a stunning look. Besides a dimmable 10W LED lamp, other lamp options can be chosen as can a range of mounting options.

For Phillips and the rest of the Nora crew, the new fixture is a great option for both commercial and residential projects. “We’ve found these pendants are a creative solution for illuminating hip hospitality sites, such as restaurant table tops and lounge/bar areas, and they also work in retro-styled home kitchens over center islands,” he says.
