Showroom: A Fishbone Tale

Patricia Urquiola's new Fishbone collection of coffee tables for Moroso. Image courtesy Moroso. If you loved Patricia Urquiola’s M.a.s.s.a.s. seating collection from Moroso but felt like something was missing, have we got news for you! Moroso has just launched Urquiola’s Fishbone collection of coffee tables—designed to complement the seating range.

Where the M.a.s.s.a.s. pieces are boldly massive with intriguing elements to define them such as visible stitches and ribbing, the four tables have a lighter feel—a perfect counterbalance to the heft of the seating. The table tops, made of cast acrylic, mimic natural materials (horn, mother-of-pearl, tortoise shell and marble) for an effect that’s at once classic and extremely contemporary. You can choose among three subtly different patterns, which all riff on a herringbone motif. Available are a version with yellow flourishes; one in greens and blues; and another in strawberry and warm neutrals. Try using multiples and mixing up palettes to add a splash of color to a project.
