Come In! Les Femmes at the A+D Museum

Metropolis by Gwen Samuels (Photo Courtesy of the Santa Monica Mirror)Come In! Les Femmes begins this Thursdsay at the Architecture and Design Museum on Miracle Mile. The exhibit will present 25 female artists' interactive installations in photography, architectural design, and other various forms of mixed media. Among the featured artists, several will riff on themes of structure and space. Gwen Samuels' exemplary cityscape designs combine textiles and abstract architectural images. The installation is appropriately titled "Metropolis".

NOESIS by Amy Jean Boebel (Photo Courtesy of the Santa Monica Mirror)Keeping with the structural tone, the work of artist Amy Jean Boebel will incorporate themes of spatial tension in her exhibit, NOESIS. The installation's open weave will allow viewers to transverse through the web of aluminum wire.

The show ends on September 8th, 2012.
