Light My Way, Stranger: An Auction Benefitting the MAK Center

Fixture by P-A-T-T-E-R-N-S. Image courtesy of the MAK Center.A noteworthy group of architects and artists has contributed to the Light My Way, Stranger auction—a fundraiser to benefit the MAK Center for Art and Architecture at the Schindler House. The auction, which will offer for sale unique light fixtures designed by a veritable “who’s who” of local architects and artists, will be held on Nov. 2 as the MAK Center’s first Day of the Dead auction. Proceeds will support the Schindler House (1922), the Mackey Apartments (1939), and the Fitzpatrick-Leland House (1936)—all designed by R.M. Schindler.

The list of architects contributing to Light My Way, Stranger includes, but is not limited to, Atelier Hitoshi Abe, Ball-Nogues Studio, Bestor Architecture, Erlich Architects, Hodgetts & Fung Design, Francois Perrin, P-A-T-T-E-R-N-S, and Mark Mack Architects. The fixtures vary from futuristic to warm to (dare we say) theatrical.

Visit the Light My Way, Stranger website to see more fixture designs and for more information on tickets to the auction.
