Annenberg Community Beach House Tour

Come tour this 2010 Historic Preservation Award recipient from the Los Angeles Conservancy. The 5-acre oceanfront site upon which the Annenberg Community Beach House now sits was originally developed during the Gold Coast era of the 1920s by William Randolph Hearst for actress Marion Davies.

The project involved rehabilitation of the historic Marion Davies Guest House and pool, as well as construction of new recreation and event spaces. The Beach House is another step forward in the City of Santa Monica 's commitment to sustainability - it has been awarded a Gold LEED rating.

Details and Joinery Tour of the Gamble House

This Saturday, July 17th, the Gamble House in Pasadena is hosting a Details and Joinery Tour. Craftsman and twenty-year scholar of the iconic Greene & Greene structure, Jim Ipekjian will explain how specific woods were chosen and how they were joined, as well as discuss the furniture, metal and art glass designed specifically for the house.

July 21: Tour of Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center

Please join AIA Los Angeles Health Care Committee & California Society for Healthcare Engineering/LA Chapter for a joint event on July 21 of a tour of the Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center. Before the tour representatives from HOK and Lee, Burkhart, Liu (LBL) will give a brief overview of the project.
