Textile design company Création Baumann celebrates their 125th anniversary this year with the release of the book In the Weave: The World of Decorative Fabrics, Stories and Histories. The text accounts for the history of Création Baumann's enduring role in textile markets and developments, as well as a wider-lens view of the company's techniques and tools that have enabled it to remain so.
The book is written by Jörg Baumann, which in itself is testament to one of the main facets of the company: it's family legacy and ownership. Jörg Baumann represents the third generation of Baumann presence within the company, and under his tenure Création Baumann rose to international acclaim and recognition for their quality and innovative designs.
The book is composed of seven chapters, and evenly peppered with photo collages of Création Baumann's fabrics from throughout its long history. The photos correspond to the time period of each chapter, and immediately inundate the reader with a visual experience of the relevant fashions and trends.
