Architecture for Humanity's Recovery Efforts in Japan

Architecture for Humanity and its teams in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto are partnering with other organizations to mobilize around the long-term reconstruction effort in Japan after the recent earthquake. Donations are essential to this process and can be made online.

According to Architecture for Humanity, there are four phases of rebuilding a community: Relief, Recovery, Reconstruction and Economic Development. They are developing strategies for all phases, as well as currently raising funds to finance short-term and long-term projects.

Architecture for Humanity representatives have been on the ground in Sendai doing door-to-door assessments. They are also working with a coalition of individuals to provide the latest information regarding unfolding events via twitter. The updates can be seen by following the hashtag #honyaquake.
