BOOK: Carrot City: Creating Places for Urban Architecture
Carrot City: Creating Places for Urban Agriculture by Mark Gorgolewski, June Komisar and Joe Nasr takes a look at forty projects created by designers from the U.S. and around the world in accordance with the increasingly popular locavore movement, which—for health and environmental reasons—encourages the cultivation of food near the area of consumption. The projects featured in the book evaluate new ways to make space for urban agriculture. It explains the benefits of food production in the city and how residents can have access to fresh, nutrient-rich produce from local sources.
