Repurposed TV's live to become tile
The leading Italian tile manufacturer Supergres, has launched A.I.R. (Architecture in Respect), a new collection that exudes style and eco-sustainability. The tiles are constructed with 20% post-consumer recycled material in the porcelain stoneware mix, containing glass from cathode ray tubes. The innovative formula is derived from recycled CRT of obsolete television and computer monitors that are currently stockpiled at landfill sights. The gleam of CRT glass maintains the brightness and aesthetic appeal of a traditional high-quality ceramic tile. A.I.R. is Ecolabel certified and qualifies for LEED rating.
