Iotti + Pavarani Win Renzo Piano Architects Under Forty Award

The Renzo Piano Foundation awarded the studio of IOTTI + PAVARANI ARCHITETTI from Reggio Emilia, Italy for the first edition prize for Italian Architects under forty. With more than seventy entries in the competition, the prize is made more significant by selection by a single juror, Renzo Piano himself. In doing so, the prize becomes a source of pride and satisfaction as it serves as a recognition that good design is able to be recognized and executed across generations.

Grand Opening of LACMA's Resnick Pavilion - October 2

In September of 2008, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) announced that the Los Angeles-based philanthropists Lynda and Stewart Resnick would donate $55-million dollars toward LACMA's Transformation, a renovation and expansion project. On October 2, the new Lynda and Stewart Resnick Exhibition Pavilion, designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano, will open to the public with three new exhibits, Olmec: Colossal Masterworks of Ancient Mexico, Eye for the Sensual: Selections from the Resnick Collection and Fashioning Fashion: European Dress in Detail, 1700-1915.
