BOOK: Building/Inside Studio Gang Architects
Courtesy of Yale PressYale Press has released Building/Inside Studio Gang Architects. Studio Gang Architects, led by principal Jeanne Gang, gained worldwide notoriety with its design for the completed 82-story Aqua Tower in Chicago, and is poised to deliver a new set of buildings. According to Yale Press, “Building examines Studio Gang’s most current work, twelve built and unbuilt projects that address four major issues facing contemporary architecture: its relationship to nature, the development of dense urban areas, the integration of the ideas of community members, and architecture and performance.” The book features essays, interviews, sketches, and drawings—many of which are previously unpublished. The book was edited with the help of Zoë Ryan, the John H. Bryan Chair and Curator of Architecture and Design at the Art Institute of Chicago.
